From Grandad’s library. I have not read these books, I grabbed them after reading Bill O’Reilly and Martin Dugard’s book, Killing Lincoln. Saw That the this series on Lincoln was included in Grandads books I had grabbed after he passed and decided to add them to my own library.

This is the third Scholastic Book Services printing, issued in February 1970 by arrangement with Harper & Row. The work was copyrighted by Jim Bishop in 1955. The cover bears publisher number TK 719 and a price of 50¢. The front endpaper retains a handwritten name and a May 11, 1970 date stamp.

Jim Bishop reconstructs the twenty-four hours surrounding Abraham Lincoln’s assassination, following the president, John Wilkes Booth, and the people caught in the events of April 14 and 15, 1865.
